I am currently a Postdoctoral Associate at the Virginia Tech Department of Philosophy and the Program in PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics). In the fall of 2020 I will begin an appointment as an Assistant Professor at the Virginia Tech Department of Philosophy and the Program in PPE.
Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Philosophy & Public Policy at George Mason University. I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of California, San Diego in 2016. I earned a B.A. degree in philosophy, politics and economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. My dissertation on the use of measures of well-being in public policy was written under the supervision of Nancy Cartwright.
My primary focus is on ethical questions at the intersection of economics, policy, and business, especially as they relate to happiness and well-being.
I live in Blacksburg, VA with my spouse, Nicole, a regional planner, and our two children, Mili and Noam.
